Cinders OHV area-Flagstaff

There is no set meeting time or meeting place for this outing. Ignore the time posted for now This is a weekend event for June 28-29. Most will be camping overnight. Your organizer might be camping-or not. The one's that are driving up Saturday morning can meet somewhere but I personally want to leave early, 5:30 or 6:00AM. We can discuss this further on the message board.

This is a volcanic rock area similar to the "Lava Rock" that you had in your old BBQ except pebble size and ankle deep in spots, very similar to the sand dunes. What can you say about the cinders. The one's that went last year can attest to the awesome time that we all had on this 2 day trip. Lots of hills and valleys some of which we couldn't climb but had fun trying. All of us that went last year had blast. Paul will be able to drive his XJ this year and the stumps won't cause him any problems. Hopefully I can have the video camera going when we watch Jim come down the hill in reverse at 40mph and Ken will have to see if the Kia can get as much air going over the whoops as the Durango. Dave can turn his A/C off and pull the mirrors in and make it up that hill on the first try. We can all stand at the bottom of the big hill and stare in awe as Rob and Sharon went up on the first try and the rest of us couldn't make it at all. Who knows I might even camp with you guys this year.
